02 / Journey the Breath · Facilitator training
The approach
I spent years training in this before I taught it. Early on I thought the point was fast, forceful breathing and big releases. For a lot of people that's the opposite of what they need. A gentler breath, with a facilitator who can stay present with whatever comes up, does far more.
That's what the training builds. You learn by doing, with supervised sessions on real people, and you do your own inner work along the way, because you can't hold space for something you haven't met in yourself.
“A person who doesn’t breathe deeply reduces the life of their body. If they don’t move freely, they restrict the life of their body. If they don’t feel fully, they narrow the life of their body. And if their self-expression is constricted, they limit the life of their body.”
